As part of an industry-wide initiative to enhance network transparency and combat fraud, NACHA has introduced updated standards for ACH Originators effective March 20, 2026. Please review the following information to see how our current tools support these changes.
Banesco USA is already fully equipped to facilitate your compliance with upcoming NACHA regulatory updates. Our existing Treasury Management and Online Banking infrastructure includes specialized modules designed to automate these requirements, ensuring your payment operations remain seamless and secure.
Automated Compliance for Payroll Transactions
To improve fraud detection, NACHA now requires all payroll-related ACH credits to include the term “PAYROLL” within the 10-character Company Entry Description field.
For ACH Payroll Module Users: No action is required. Our system is already configured to automatically insert the “PAYROLL” description on your behalf.
For Standard ACH Users: If you process payroll but do not currently utilize our dedicated ACH Payroll module, please contact us. We can enable this feature for your account to ensure your future transactions are automatically compliant.
Enhancing Your Payment Security
Beyond regulatory requirements, Banesco USA recommends the following “risk-based” practices to protect your business from evolving fraud tactics:
Verify Recipient Changes: Always confirm bank account update requests from employees or vendors via a phone call to a trusted, known number
New Receivers: Ensure all new payment records are established using documentation from verified sources
Implement Dual Approval: Utilize a “second set of eyes” to authorize high-dollar transfers or new vendor setups
We Are Here to Support You
Our Treasury Management tools are purpose-built to handle these requirements so you can focus on your core business. If you do not currently see the ACH Payroll Module in your Online Banking menu, please reach out to our Treasury Management Team to have it enabled:
