How do I get Card Controls?
First, make sure your debit card is activated. Next, log in to BanescOnline or Banesco Mobile, select Services and select Card Controls.
How do I upload my debit card to my digital wallet?
Apple Wallet
- In the Wallet app, tap the Add button.
- Tap Continue.
- Follow the steps on the screen to add a new card.
- Verify your information with Banesco USA.
- If you have a paired Apple Watch, you have the option to also add the card to your watch.
Google Wallet
- Open the Google Wallet app.
- At the bottom, tap Add to Wallet.
- Tap Payment card.
- Tap New credit or debit card.
- At the bottom, tap Save.
- Read the Issuer Terms and tap Accept.
- If you’re asked to verify your payment method, choose an option from the list.
Is there a fee to use Card Controls?
It’s a free benefit included with your Banesco USA debit card.
What is Visa Secure?
Visa developed a program that helps confirm your identity when you make an online purchase using your debit card. There’s no need to download anything, install software, or register your account. During an online purchase from your desktop, mobile or other digital device, you may be guided through an extra check to verify your identity. This helps us ensure you’re you and better protects you from fraud. This is one more way Banesco USA and Visa have teamed up to secure your account.
Is there a cost for Visa Secure?
No, it’s a benefit automatically included with your debit card.
If I disable my card, does that mean I am closing my account?
No. Using Card Controls does not change the status of your account, however, all your debit card transactions will be declined while your card is disabled.
How will I know if my online purchase has the Visa Secure added layer of protection?
This service automatically works at checkout at any participating online merchant. Look for the Visa Secure logo. Remember, you can use your card to pay for online purchases even if you don’t see the logo and rest assured your transaction will still be protected by multiple layers of security and zero liability for fraudulent purchases.
How long does it take for a Card Controls setting to take effect?
Just set your control, click Save and the setting is activated immediately.
