What is a CD?
A CD, a Certificate of Deposit, is a type of savings account that typically offers a higher interest rate than other savings accounts in exchange for keeping your money in the account for a set period of time, called the CD term. At the end of the term, you can withdraw your original deposit plus any interest earned, without penalty.

Is my account FDIC-insured?
Yes! Banesco USA is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which means your deposits are insured up to $250,000 per depositor.
Can I withdraw my money from a CD?
Yes, but there may be penalties for early withdrawals, and withdrawals will impact the amount of interest you earn. Check the terms of your account for more details.
How often will I receive interest payments?
Interest accumulates throughout the CD term and is kept in the account, so you earn the stated APY (Annual Percentage Yield.) At the end of the CD term, you have the option to withdraw your initial deposit and earned interest, or you can renew your CD at the same or different term.
How much interest will I earn?
This depends on several factors, including the length of the CD term, the amount of money you deposit and the interest rate, when you open your account.
